FIVE FROM SEVENS AND TWELVES
Our hosts, Dave and Mark, are two music obsessives who first met in 2008 at the community radio station RTRFM 92.1 in Perth, Western Australia. Bonding over a love of post punk and other alternative music genres, they soon began making music together and are still heavily involved in the city's fertile local music scene. They also like nothing more than a yarn about music, and their favourite (or not so favourite) bands. These conversations are often amusing, sometimes serious and occasionally, potentially libellous. Thus, the idea for this podcast was born. Each episode the lads choose a theme and each select five songs to explore the topic. The show is free flowing and so the facts are sometimes hazy and the chat can go in any direction. This is not your typical music show.
FIVE FROM SEVENS AND TWELVES
Mental Health and Music
Mental Health is part of the human condition. Globally, 1 in 5 of us will have Mental Health problems in any given year. Unsurprisingly, many musician's have had their own struggles and often document these experiences in their songs. Mark takes the lead on this episode, having worked in the Mental Health sector for many years. Make sure you check out the playlist below for the tracks discussed and a lot more.
